Melbourne Malayalee Association (MMA) 

Is a vibrant cultural organization established in 2009 and formally registered as an association in 2017 with the name of Whittlesea Malayalee Association(WMA), due to the strong growth and demands from the community later it has been renamed to Melbourne Malayalee Association (MMA). Founded by a group of like-minded individuals, MMA is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the rich heritage, traditions, and values of Kerala, the land affectionately known as God’s Own Country. Through a wide range of cultural, social, and community-focused initiatives, MMA has grown into a strong and inclusive community hub for Malayalees in Melbourne.

ഓണപ്പുലരി (Onappulari) 2025 

30th August 2025 - Saturday @10am - 7Pm, Serbian Orthodox Church Hall, Greensborough

MMA’s grand celebration of Onam, Kerala’s most cherished festival. Slated to be a spectacular cultural showcase with over 300 performers, Onappulari 2025 will bring together the community for a day filled with traditional music, vibrant dance performances, authentic Kerala cuisine (25 items onam sadhya served in a banana leaf), and the iconic floral decoration— Pookkalam. True to its name, which means "Onam Celebration," Onappulari 2025 will reflect the spirit of unity, joy, and cultural pride, making it an unforgettable experience for all ages.

Event Info

Onappulari 2025 – Event Terms & Conditions

* All guest and participants must require a valid ticket

* Children under 4 years of age are eligible for free ticket

* However, children under 4 will not be allocated a separate seat for food (sadhya). Parents must feed them from their own plate and seat.

* If a parent wishes for their under-4 child to have an individual seat and serving for sadhya, a paid child ticket (4–11 years) must be purchased.

* Only guests with a valid paid ticket will be issued a wristband for sadhya. Wristbands are mandatory to be seated and served.

* Seating for food is on a first-come, first-collected wristband basis

* Seating for programs is on a first-come basis

* Tickets can be scanned digitally on mobile devices, provided the screen is clear and undamaged.

* If mobile scanning fails, a printed copy of the ticket confirmation must be presented.

* All ticket sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations are permitted after purchase.

* In the event of cancellation or postponement, only the face value of the ticket will be refunded. Booking and transaction fees are non-refundable.

* Customers are responsible for checking the total payable amount before completing the ticket purchase.

* The Event Organizer reserves the right to remove any individual from the venue due to misconduct or disruptive behaviour. No refunds will be given in such cases.

* The Event Organizer and its agents are not liable for any injuries, damages, theft, or loss incurred at the event.

* Personal belongings are the responsibility of attendees. The organizer is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

* By attending the event, you consent to photography, videography, and use of your image in any media for promotional purposes, without compensation.

* Parents are kindly requested to supervise children at all times to ensure a smooth experience for all and to avoid disruption to performances.

* Terms and conditions are subject to change by the Event Organizer without prior notice.
